Patchogue is a small town founded in the 1700's situated along the Great South Bay, rich in history and great people.
Apart from beautiful bodies of water, boating, fishing, hunting, and staying in vacation homes, there are amazing food stops in Patchogue that anyone should never miss. Here are some of our favorites so far:
Kilwin's Chocolates
Started by Don and Katy Kilwin in 1947, their love for making chocolates is truly felt with the products that they offer.
Caramel Apples

Caramel Apples at Kilwin's Patchogue from Kyle Kelly's 12 Days of a Patchogue Christmas
One would go in awe with the wide variety of caramel apples that Kilwin's offers. Among the crowd favorites are: The Perfect Apple - a classic Granny Smith covered in copper-kettle caramel with the perfect crunch and sweetness. If you are looking for something with some sweet, nutty, buttery flavor, the Pecan Turtle Caramel Apple is the one for you. For a mixture of sweet and salty, try the Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Apple covered in Kilwin's Heritage Milk Chocolate finished with sea salt.

Donatina's Pizza
Craving for brick oven pizza? Donatina's is one of the best places to get pizzas in town! Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri's favorite is the Meat Lover's Pizza. It has San Marzano sauce, mozzarella, Italian ham, meatballs, pepperoni, hot and sweet sausage, and grated pepperoni with extra virgin olive oil. Their pizzas are cooked in a classic, dome-shaped, brick oven at very high temperatures.

Baking the pizza in the brick oven
One thing that tells a good slice of pepperoni is when it curls up from the heat. That's a nice fresh pepperoni. A good pizza is something that you want to eat as soon as it comes out of the oven, take it just the way it comes out – perfect. (If you like it extra hot, it’s pleasant to dip it in Mike's Hot Honey.)

Gallo Restaurant
Started by the Bustamante family in 2002, this restaurant serves hearty meals enjoyed in Colombia for generations. The recipes they follow have been around for hundreds of years and the ingredients that they use are fresh. To add to that, they have heaps of drink selections, too!
Not Your Ordinary Empanada
Gallo empanadas are amazing. They get their own corn and grind them to create that beautiful and tasty masa. They are filled with potatoes and cooked the Colombian way. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, you will definitely love these bites!

Finger Foods
A platter of everything you can dream of is probably the best way to describe Gallo's platter of finger foods. It has steak, pork sausage, chicharon, chorizo, tostones (fried plantains), and a little bit of everything that you can enjoy with their avocado sauce. Delicious!
